Most often it isn’t the job posting or the overall impression of the company you get from research, it’s the interview that tells the story. Make sure you ask questions in an interview, and do not wait until the end. If the interviewer(s) can’t have a conversation with you throughout the interview, where you both ask questions, then you won’t get to ask most of your questions. When saved until the end, the interviewer is annoyed if you have any questions, especially more than one, and they are equally annoyed if you don’t. I hear this story way too often, and caution my clients to be sure they are treated properly in the interview, and allowed to ask their questions as well throughout the process. Remember, you are interviewing them, as much as they are interviewing you!
